Our Logo is a mystery.  There is a hidden gem beneath the iconic twin islands.  There have been countless sunrises gazing at the shape of her body.  This is what fairy tales are made of.  Introducing our Local Mermaid.

Hidden Beauty

Affectionately called the "Mokes," there has always been something so magical about these Islets.  The Mokulua islands are currently a heavily protected bird sanctuary.  You can learn more here.  It is one of the iconic seascapes that draw and capture the attention of visitors and locals near and far.

The bigger picture

There is an allure of the things not yet seen or fully realized. 

Just as our mermaid is perfectly hidden from view.  This concept coincides with the unknown futures.  How do we move forward during uncertain times?

Reflecting on standard practices and finding ways to do better seems necessary. Our intention at Classic Waves is to find brands, artists, and businesses that want to do commerce differently too.

Our logo is about a wonderful mystery and the joy of discovery.  It’s about the vision coming into focus.

It is thrilling to step forward into change when a beautiful sight is within our gaze and reimagined.  

Collaboration with Suzanne Jennerich

While putting the pieces together of building a business I reached out to the talented artist and illustrator Suzanne Jennerich.  We talked about this elusive mermaid living in the depths of Kailua and a concept emerged. 

As Suzanne shared her drawings with me, I got goosebumps and teary eyed. 

I’m so excited to share our mermaid! She is so much more than what I expected!
